Listel-retail on GitHub documents Listel — turning generic shopping lists into store- and branch-specific experiences: sort by real walking paths, surface seasonal or temporary bays, and local offers instead of store-agnostic apps.
The problem (per README)
Many purchase decisions happen before the visit; classic lists ignore layout and local reality. Central retail apps push brand and global campaigns more than this specific branch.
Approach
- Before the trip: pick a branch, align the list to the walking path, enrich with local highlights.
- In store: list mode (tick off, found / not found), optional gamification (points, scores) — aimed at families and weekly shops.
Value for branches
Stated neutrally: potentially higher basket size, better visibility of add-on bays, first-party insight (what people look for, what is missing, friction in the aisle) — without classic ad substitution or sponsored placement as a core principle.
Status (per repo)
Concept and business logic documented; repo is idea-first, not a shipped product guarantee; branch pitch PDF in the repository. Contributions welcome (UX, data models, privacy-first analytics, integrations).
The project ties to Ivayla Trifonova’s retail and Listel themes; the site can link implementation work as it matures.
